Harry was the sixth child of Martin Francis and Margaret (Doran) Conway. He married Ruth Warner on August 17, 1942 in Jackson, Michigan. They had one child Rosemary in 1946. Harry J. Conway was a pharmacist and owner of Conway's Drug Store where he had worked with his brother Martin and then he took over with his passing. He was a member of the Elks and the Knights of Columbus.
