Jazz musician, drummer for the Tijuana Brass. He worked with Ray Anthony and Gerald Wilson in the early ‘60s before joining Stan Kenton's LA Neophonic Orchestra in 1965. He was with Herb Albert's Tijuana Brass for the next four years, it was then he settled in Los Angeles and was in demand as a studio musician. His experience and skill in big band music drew him into the area of performing; his association with Bob Florence produced some of the finest big band jazz in the late ‘70s and ‘80s. He played on "Party Hearty" on Florence's "Concerts By The Sea" album. He had a large collection of music by Beethoven and Duke Ellington and he communicated his enthusiasm through his playing. He was nurtured by such greats as: Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Jeff Pocaro and Louis Bellson. He gave excitement and enthusiasm to any band he worked with. He was very much in his prime when death came.
