The funeral of Mrs. Van Ornam occured on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Olive Hill Christian Church. Mrs. William VanOrnam was buried in the Olive Hill cemetery Sunday. Rev. Tipton preached the funeral sermon. She was an old settler of this neighborhood, having located here in the early eighties.

Note: I used the spelling of Jennett C. Bennett as this is the way her name was spelled on her marriage certificate and on the 1870 Iowa census records. Other spellings have been used.
