Obituary for Emma Margaret Clark
Emma Margaret Clark, 92, of Altura, Minn., died Thursday March 21, 2002 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital.
Emma was born April 30, 1909 in Waupon, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. William Langer. She and Lester Clark were married April 7, 1927 in Winona. He died in February 1960.
They worked and farmed in Winona County. In 1957 they moved in to Altura. Emma was a farm homemaker and worked for Altura Turkey Plant for 27 years.
Emma loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
She was a member of Jehovah Ev. Lutheran Church of Altura.
Survivors include five children, Martin (Sachi) Clark of Altura, Charles (Ruth) Clark of Longview, Tex., David (Cleo) Clark of Rollingstone, Minn., Nancy (Charles) Prigge of North St. Paul, Minn., and Robert (Annette) Clark of Hastings, Minn., and an adopted daughter, Jennifer Ashbeck of Madison Wis.; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Glen Berry of Zumbro Falls, Minn.; and a sister Evelyn of Kenosha, Wis.
A son Earl and a daughter, Vivian have died.
Funeral services were Monday, March 25 at Jehovah Ev. Lutheran Church in Altura with Rev. Michael Lindemann officiating. Burial was in Bethany Moravian Cemetery in rural Altura.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Hoff Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
