Leslie Amell was born at Goldsmith, N. Y., Feb 28. 1892, son of Jerry and Margaret LaDue Amell. He moved to Tupper Lake in 1915, and has since made his home here, marrying Florence Castell here Aug. 31, 1928. Surviving, besides his wife are three daughters: Mrs. Christine Lavigne, Margaret and Barbara Amell, and four sons, Ray, Stanley and James Amell, all of Tupper Lake, and Pvt Sherwood Amell. Fort Dix. N. J ; three brothers; Wesley, his twin,Tupper Lake; John, Saranac Lake, and Charles, Takawus; four sisters: Mrs. Willam (Isabel) LaBarge, Mrs. Addie LaBarge and Mrs. Emma Rooker, Tupper Lake, and Mrs. Jane Charbonneau.
