Son of Jonas Dodge (Conn.) and Betsie Luckey (Vt.) Father of four with four still alive at time of death. Shortly before his death at age 80, he was concerned about being buried without his wife, Meribah, by his side. His son, Albert, drove a two wheeled buggy a hundred miles back to Trufant Cemetery. There Charles and Albert dug up her casket and one of Albert's sons who had died as an infant, and took them to Charlotte, Eaton County to be reburied in the family plot that Charles had purchased. He died in the home of his son, Albert.
