LANETT -- Mrs. Maudie Abner, 75, of Lanett died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Ricky Emery and S.T. Janney officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Abner is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Abner; two sons, Waymon Abner of Opelika and Kenneth Abner of Valley; four grandchildren, Denise Butts and Amanda Rackow, both of Valley, Eli Abner of LaGrange and John Abner of Opelika; her sister, Thelma Lee of Roanoke; and four great-grandchildren.
Born Jan. 16, 1926 in Randolph County, Ala., Mrs. Abner was a co-owner of Abner's Body and Paint Shop in Lanett. She attended Happy Valley Baptist Church.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is handling arrangements.
