Acclaimed Swedish Athlete. He is often called ”Sweden´s most famed athlete,” and was one of the first to reach international recognition. He compeded sveral events, but became the #1 javelin thrower in the world. His first world record was in 1899, the year prior to his Olympic debut. He won gold-medal in the 1906 Athens Olympics, as well as in the1908 London Olympics, and in Stockholm 1912. 10 times he held the worlds record, and was 26 times Swedish Champion.
