Mr. Janes was a native and life long resident of Baldwin County. He was retired from the maintenance department at Central State Hospital. He was the son of the late Louis and Mary Lou Johnson Janes and was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy S. Janes of Milledgeville, his children: Faye Starley of McIntyre, Kaye Pettigrew, Tony Janes Christie Miller (Barry), and Gary Janes (Lori) all of Milledgeville, six grandchildren: Brandi Chad, Britt, Brandon, Tiffany, Michelle and Montie, four great-grandchildren: Cooper, Logan, Hudson, and Lexie Grace.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5PM until 7PM at Moores Funeral Home.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Oak Grove Methodist Church.
