Frances Rudman, nee Zimmerman, died April 3rd, age 97, of Highland Park, IL formerly of Great Neck, NY,a feminist by inadvertence who tirelessly juggled her responsibilities at work and for her children before it became customary to do so. She was a retired executive of National Learning Corporation, publishing the Passbooks series of test preparation books. She was an accomplished pianist, a prolific gardener, a devotee of the Chicago Botanic Garden, a lifetime collector of antiques and a world traveler. Frances is survived by her loving family, late husband Jack; children Jerry (the late Marianne) Rudman, Stephanie (Bill) Joseph, Michael Rudman; grandchildren Steve, David (Caren), Peter (Jill), Adam (Emily), Max Joseph, Alexis, Jacob, and Cameron; great-grandchildren Joe, Marlee, Matt, Sami, Tommy, Julia, Noah, Meredith, Shayna, Tatum, Phoebe, Maya, Billy, and Abby. Graveside service and interment will be arranged by Gutterman's Funeral Home in Long Island, NY. Burial at New Montefiore Cemetery, Pine Lawn, NY. Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Congregation Solel, Highland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Rd., Glencoe, IL 60022.
