George Albert Robinson (he would always go by Albert) was born 30 Oct 1861 in Coal Town Kentucky. His father William Robinson had emigrated to Kentucky from the Isle of Man. His mother was listed as Elizabeth Edwards on his birth certificate but as Elizabeth Trotter on his death certificate.
On 27 Feb 1880 he married Miss Virginia Purdy of Hopkins County Kentucky. They had 12 children together. By 1910 the Robinson family had relocated to Herrin Illinois, and Albert was working as a coal miner. By 1920 he had retired and owned his home located at 800 South Twenthieth Street Herrin. Albert Robinson died 11 Dec 1932, at the age of 71.
