Mary Ellen was a daughter of John Wesley Harris and Paradine Willis Harris.

She married George Washington Link on January 30, 1908 in Carter Co., MO.

Mary Ellen's obituary was published in the 2-12-1953 edition of The Current Local, Van Buren, Carter Co., MO on the front page (used with permission).

Mrs. Mary Ellen Link, age, 62, wife of George Link, well known farmer of the Crommertown community, died Thursday at a hospital in Poplar Bluff. She was born and reared in Carter County and lived here all her life.

Besides her husband she leaves the following children, Mrs. Paradine Ambrose, Mrs. Lillian Condray, Mrs. Roberta Garrett, Mrs. Ida Mae Million and Matthew Link all of St. Louis, Lt. Elmer Link of Fort Sheridan, Ill., and Mrs. Irene Joplin of Ellsinore. Two brothers, George Harris of Ellsinore and Clay Harris of Ruble.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Don Price at the First Baptist Church in Ellsinore Sunday afternoon and interment was at the Robertson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Timon Price, Ira Harris, Dewey Payne, Toleman Harris, Frank Harris and James Condray.

The Greer, Croy and Fitch Funeral home of Poplar Bluff was in charge.--Ellsinore Correspondent
