Ben McCullough was the son of Miles McCullough and Mary Fritz. He was married twice, the first to Minnie Brann, the second to Ida Belle Kirkpatrick.

Ben McCullough Retired Driller Called by Death

Benjamin B. McCullough, 85 years old, well known retired mine driller, died at 11:45 o’clock Wednesday night at his residence, 32 East Church Street, following an illness of two years duration.

Mr. McCullough was a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but had resided in this community since his early childhood. He was a member of the First Christian Church and was affiliated with Brazil Aerie No 374, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and enjoyed the esteem and respect of a wide circle of friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida McCullough; a son, Thomas R. McCullough of New Goshen; a daughter, Mrs, Fred G. Appel, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Ida B. Morris, both of Indianapolis.

The body was removed to the Lawson & Son Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 o’clock Friday morning. Rev. R.C. Dillman will officiate and interment will be in Cottage Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral homeafter 9:00 o’clock Friday morning but the casket will remain closed.
