Germaine Catherine Fehland, 82, of Monee died Saturday, May 5, 2012.
She was born February 10, 1930, in Harvey, to Parley Jay "P.J." and Mary Virginia Davis. When she was young, her family moved to a log cabin in Raccoon Grove, where she grew up. In 1952, she married Allen Robert Fehland and they moved to Evergreen Park, then back to Monee, where she spent her last days in the 100-year-old home of her husband's family.
Mrs. Fehland is survived by three daughters, Mary Kay (Donald) Timm, Margaret Kimberly (Doug) Horne and Maureen Kathleen (Tom) Ford; a son, Michael Kirk (Lori) Fehland; grandchildren, Colleen Ford (Tom) Williams, Donald (Melissa Winckler) Timm, Katie Timm (Nate) Lockhart and Molly Timm, Brian, Carolyn, Peter and Henry Horne, Jessica, Sarah and Joshua Fehland, and Rachel, Amanda (fiance Miguel Munoz) and Christopher Ford; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Nathan and Jonathan Williams,
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Ford.
Services were held Wednesday, May 9, at Family & Faith Church in Monee. Burial was in Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. Arrangements were under the direction of Monee Funeral Home.
