Private funeral for Mrs. George E Heathman Jr, 85
former partner in the Heathman hotels of Portland will be Monday at Portland Memorial Indoor Cemetery.
Born Nov 15, 1883 in Kansas, she came to Porltnad 48 years before her death.
She and her husband operated the Roosevelt Hotel until 1925 when they built the Heathman Hotel (the Park Haviland in 1969). The next year they also leased the New Heathman.
Mr. Heathman died in the early 1930's. Mrs. Heathman, her son, Harry, and daughter, Mr. Lloyd P Jaeger, Portland, were active in the hotels. Mrs. Heathman sold her interest and retired in 1960 after the death of her son.
She was a memeber of the Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist.

Mrs. Heathman is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jaeger; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Thompson, Seattle; Mrs. Jane Ratliff, Olympia, WA; Mrs. Edna Meschane, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart both of Burlington,WA., and Mrs. Amanda Graham, Peshastin, WA, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon Cancer Society.
