Carrier—Died at his home, 617 East Broadway, July 19th, W. Irving Carrier, aged 77 years. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Frank Carrier of Syracuse, Luther Carrier of Palermo, and Jesse Carrer of Volney. Funeral services will be private.

The deceased was born in Volney in 1843. He engaged in farming when a young man and that has been his life-long vocation, in which he had been eminently successful. He had always been a resident of Volney and resided near the Carrier
homestead. Four years ago he retired from active farm life. In August, 1919, his health gave way and he has remained at home most of the time since. Last December Mr. and Mrs. Carrier celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, but his health prevented anything more than a family
reunion.

He was one of the oldest members of Hiram lodge of Masons, and one of the charter members of Oswego
Falls Grange. He was one of the most active supporters of the Oswego Falls Agricultural society and his annual exhibits were among the prominent features. In politics he was a Republican of the old school, and as a citizen and neighbor be was held in the highest esteem by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance and association.
