C.R. was a corrospondent & columnist for the Madison newspaper The Messenger. He also was an auctioneer and his services were in demand at auctions in the area. But his first & last love was farming which took up most of his life. These comments were taken from his obit. published in the April 15, 1954 edition of the Madison Messenger newspaper. C.R.& Annie's old home place is located across the road from the cemetery as stated by the groundskeeper I meet while visiting the area.
