Robert David Goree, 71, husband of the late Carolyn O'Kelley Goree, of 306 Katelyn Lane, Seneca, SC, passed from this life on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
A native of Oconee County, Mr. Goree was the son of the late Robert B. and David Lucy Edwards Goree. An employee of the J.P. Stevens Company, he operated the Shiloh Auction following his retirement. Mr. Goree was of the Baptist faith.
He is the beloved father of four daughters: Linda Collins, Robin Lay, Lola Goree and Rebecca Emerson all of Seneca; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Goree was predeceased by daughters: Vickie Holbrooks and Rhonda Gail Graham; sister: Dorothy Patterson; and grandsons: Robby Grant and Josh Grant.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Davenport Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service.
Mr. Goree will be greatly missed by his extended family of friends at his Shiloh Auction in Seneca.
The family is at their respective homes.
