Rita is survived by
her husband, Harold Ford, whom she married October 2, 1953;
5 children, Robbin (Jeff) Hills, Kathy (Dennis) VanTress, Alisa (Terry) VanHoose, Barbara (Bruce) Myers and Michael (Lisa) Porter;
10 grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Hills, Samuel (Lisa) Hills, Kyle (Angela) VanTress, Adam (Kelly) VanTress, Emily Van Tress, Katie (Michael) Haught, Garret VanHoose, Matthew Ford (Jeanette McKeever), Trey and Brandon Porter;
15 great grandchildren;
other family members and friends.
She had retired as the activity coordinator at Heathergreene Nursing Home, both in Xenia and Jamestown. Rita was instrumental in introducing the Senior's Prom in Xenia. She was also employed with Hospitality Home in Xenia. She was also previously employed with Hooven and Allison. She was an active volunteer, and started an after school volunteer program for high school girls, called Sunshine Girls at Heathergreene Nursing Home. She was a member of North Side Christian Church. She also enjoyed cooking.
Funeral service at North Side Christian Church, 733 Country Club Drive, Xenia, with Rev. Gary Robinson officiating. Burial in Valley View Cemetery.
