Rites to Be Monday for Cpl. Richard C. O'Keefe, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O'Keefe Jr., 313 Laurel Lane, Maple Bluff, who was killed in action in Korea July 23, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Catholic church, Wilmette, Ill. The Rev. Fr. Hayes will officiate and burial will be in All Saints cemetery, Des Plaines, Ill. Military rites will be held at the graveside. The body will arrive in Wilmette Saturday from San Francisco. The family said an athletic memorial fund in Cpl. O'Keefe's honor is being established at New Trier high school, Wilmette, from which he graduated in 1950. Cpl. O'Keefe was a star football player and wrestler. Before entering the Army in 1952 he attended the University of Illinois and the University of Kansas. Cpl. O'Keefe's father is sales manager of Red Dot Foods, Inc.
