HUNTSVILLE - Dazel Mae Counts, 83, of Huntsville, Ark., formerly of Fayetteville, died May 4, 2012, at Countryside Assisted Living in Huntsville. She was born June 18, 1928, at Damascus, Ark., the daughter of William Alvin and Della Jane Ward Stafford. She was a homemaker, a member of the Drakes Creek Regular Baptist Church and the widow of Earl Wayne Counts who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darrell Stafford and Doyne Stafford; and one sister, Omal French.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Farrell Davis of Drakes Creek, Ark.; one grandson, Shawn Davis of Uruguay, South America; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Davis of Fayetteville, Ark.; one great-great-grandson, Embry Williams of Fayetteville, Ark., and two nephews, Ron French of Fayetteville, Ark., and Sam Stafford of Poteet, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the Drakes Creek Regular Baptist Church with The Elder Jim Duncan officiating. Interment will be in the Drakes Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Phil Samuels, Jerry Counts, Jason French, Howard Lee Boyd, Gene Boyd and John Napier. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bob Kisor, Bill Kisor and F. D. Kisor. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
