Andrew Wilson Sole died at the home of his son Jesse in Novesta Two, Tuscola County, Michigan, on Dec 25, 1899. The deceased was born in Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada in 1819, where he spent 29 years of his life. Coming to Michigan, he settled in Lapeer County and one year later married Jenett Mason, several years his junior. Eleven children were born to this union, only four of who are now living. In 1864 Mr Sole homesteaded 160 acres of land in section 2, Kingston Township, Tuscola County, Michigan. He moved his family onto this land the same year, where he lived until 1876, then moved to Wahjamega, where he was employed by Wm A Heartt.
Andrew has seven siblings who survive him, being David of Champagne, IL, George of Canada, Joshua, of Kingston, Michigan, Rosalia Adair of Illinois, Sarah Rose, Rosina LeValley and Mary Divenna of Canada.

Through Andrew's long life he saw the dense forest transformed to well cultivated fields. He remained faithful unto God and his family, and had no enemy. We respect his memory.
