Was Minster at the Broadway Baptist Church, Broadway, Virginia.
The following is notes from the Broadway Baptist Church:
W. J. Hubbard arrived as pastor of Broadway and Turleytown churches on February 1, 1902, however his membership letter is dated July 1, 1903. Up until August of 1905, the Reverend Hubbard signed the minutes as pastor. After that time, he signed only occasionally and used the term "moderator" rather than pastor. He is listed in the Associational Minutes as "ordained Ministers other than pastor" as late as 1923, with his address being given as Broadway. However, his letter was granted him by the Broadway Baptist Church on January 4, 1920, The minutes do not state where the letter was sent. The December, 1915 minutes show that the Reverend Hubbard was once more filling in as pastor, coming to Broadway from his home in Singer's Glen. Reverend Hubbard's Daughter, Mrs. Annie H. Link, stated that her father preached eight years in Radford, Virginia and eight years at Fountain Memorial Baptist Church in Washington, D. C.. His last pastorate covered the years 1925-1933, and since the Reverend Hubbard also saw service during World War I as "Y" secretary at Camp Lee, Virginia, he must have left Broadway long before 1923, as shown in Associational Minutes.

Listed on many of the United States Federal Censuses: 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1940;
