Nancy was the oldest child and only daughter of Seth and Anna (Brown) Rose. When she was ten her mother died, and then a few months later two young brothers died less than two weeks apart. Two other brothers served in the Civil War. Her brother Albert died in 1865.
In 1857 she married Benjamin F. Lewis from Buckfield. He worked as a farm laborer in Leeds. They had a son Lester born about 1861, a daughter Carrie born 1870, and a daughter Annie born in 1874. Annie died in 1876.
Nancy and Benjamin divorced in 1879. She subsequently lived on Turner Street in Auburn with the two children. She remarried to Henry (or Harry) Warren in Auburn in 1881. He was born in 1849, and so was at least nine years younger than Nancy. They lived in Leeds where Henry made his living as a farm laborer. They had no children together.
Nancy was buried next to her daughter Annie.
Henry remarried in 1905. His second wife died in 1917 and is buried with her first husband in Lewiston. Henry's 1922 death record said he was to be buried in this cemetery, however his name is not included in cemetery records.
