Alice L. Sweitzer YORK Alice L. (Rosenzweig) Sweitzer, 90, died Saturday, January 29, 2005, at 5:50 a.m. at York County Nursing Home. She was the wife of Charles J. Sweitzer who died July 26, 1976. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at 12 noon at Workinger-Semmel F.H. and Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market Street, York. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Kevin T. Shively. Mrs. Sweitzer was born February 4, 1914, in York. She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth (Williams) Rosenzweig. Mrs. Sweitzer retired from Jayson Shirt Factory, where she was an examiner for 25 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Matthew century club, and AARP. She is survived by one daughter, Frances E. Eck & her husband Daniel of York; one son, Charles J. Sweitzer & his wife Marie of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, David & Darren Sweitzer, Deborah & Deana Eck, and Donna Williams; and five great-grandchildren.
