Elmer W. Getz, 80, of 1125 Briggs Ave. died Tuesday, Feb. 16,1988, in his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in
the First United Methodist Church in Hastings with the Rev. Clarence Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Mr. Getz was born in Deshler Feb. 4,1908. He married Grace Bowman June 5, 1930, and they moved to Hastings from Davenport in 1953. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1972 after 32 years of service.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eagles
Lodge and Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way.

Survivors are his wife, Grace of Hastings; one son, Ray of Hastings; one brother, Roy of Deshler; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church.
