Minister. He was an ardent supporter of the Revolution.
Son of Jane Jacobs and Abraham Keteltas, who came to America from Holland in 1720. He married Sarah Smith, daughter of the Hon. William Smith of New York on Oct 31, 1755. She was the sister of William Smith who as well as his father, was a New York Supreme Court judge, and author of a history of New York from the period of its discovery to the year 1732.
