Funeral services will be held Saturday for Alfred R. Haas, 57, of 517 Fairway Dr., who died Wednesday morning at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The Rev. Robert F. Stellwagen, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, will officiate at the 2 p.m. service in the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
He was born in the Town of Lyndon, May 13, 1910, a son of John Haas and the late Martha Haas, attended the La Follette district school and then a dairy short course at the University of Wisconsin. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Adell.
On April 18, 1936, he married Miss Lila Borkenhagen of Plymouth at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Mr. Haas was employed for a time at the former Weeden Dairy, Town of Wilson, at the Federation Cheese Co. of Plymouth and at the Hulls Crossing Cheese Co., Glenbeulah. For the past 23 years, he has been employed at the Verifine Dairy until his illness in January.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a former trustee of the church, a member of its Falcon Dartball team, and of the Dairy Products Employees and Helpers Union 56.
He is survived by his wife, a son, David, Neenah; a grandson, Richard, Honolulu, Hawaii; his father, Johm, Adell; a brother, Frank, Adell; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bruchert, Milwaukee.
A son, Merlin, died while serving in the U.S. Navy in 1963.
Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from 4 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Haas' name for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
