Mrs. Julia A. McPerson, 90 died at 3 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bowman, southwest of Fulton, where she had resided for a number of years and had been bedfast for the past four years. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Wallace Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Lloyd Sapp officiating. Interment was in the Carrington Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Wilson, Ray Simpson, Walter Henderson, Roy Morris, Omer Kemp and Morris Conner. Mrs. McPherson was bon west of Carrington on July 13, 1868, the daughter of W. B. and Sally Barnes Martin. On June 9, 1887, she was married to Walter Sappington, a Primitive Baptist minister and a merchant in Carrington. He died on March 27, 1908. On October 17, 1917, she was married to H. W. McPherson of Bentley, Illinois, where they resided about 32 years. After his death Mrs. McPherson returned to Callaway County about 10 years ago and made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bowman. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Chester T. (Beulah) Wilson and Mrs. Clyde E. (Ethel) Hunter of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. McPherson was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
