Wichita, Kansas; Landlord Finds Woman, 76, Dead In Her Apartment.

Mrs. Dona E. Miller, 76, who resided alone in an apartment at 611 North St. Francis, was found dead on the floor of the apartment at 9 p.m. Thursday; December 14, 1961.
Investigating officers said she apparently died of natural causes. She had been ill for many weeks.
The body was found by the owner of the apartment, N. C. Fredrick, after the owner was called by Mrs. Myrtle Mae Van Atta, a friend and neighbor of Mrs. Miller.
Mrs. Van Atta had knocked at the door several times without an answer Thursday afternoon. It was Mrs. Miller's habit to rise early and then return to bed before arising a second time to eat about noon. Mrs. Van Atta said she told officers she had seen Mrs. Miller at 7:30am Thursday.
Time of death was estimated about noon.
Mrs. Miller was born January 15, 1885, in Arkansas. She came from Arkansas about 20 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Miller, Albuquerque, N.M., and Kenneth Miller, Hutchinson, Kansas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral plans will be announced by DeVorss-Gard Mortuary.

Mrd. Dona E. Miller, 76 Mother of Kenneth Miller of RFD 3, Hutchinson, died Thursday at her home in Wichita.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she had lived in Wichita for 20 Years. Surviving in addition to Kenneth is another son Lawrence, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec 16, 1961, Devoss-Gard Chapel, Wichita, Kansas. Internment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kansas.
