Robert Martin Funk, 66, of Longmont passed away April 22, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center Louisville, Colorado. Known to many as Marty and to others as Bob; he was born April 5, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Ralph Robert and Dorothy Darlene (Williamson) Funk. Bob was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. Bob married Judy Ann Phares on September 18, 1965 in Indianola, Iowa where both Bob and Judy attended Indianola High School and married shortly after graduation. Bob started working for the phone company after discharge from the Army; he worked many jobs, becoming technical director in 1986 to 1997, retiring from then USWest.
Bob is survived by his wife, Judy;a son, Brett (Michele); mother, Dorothy; 2 grandchildren, Bryson and Jenny; in-laws, Rex and Vivian Phares and many friends.
