Raymond O Wendt, 60, 1209 Jackson St., Merrill, died at 4:45 pm Monday in Wausau Hospital North following a three-week illness.
Services will be held at 11 am Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev Donald C Schulz will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Maine. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill Wednesday after 2 pm and at the church Thursday from 9 am until the hour of services.
Mr. Wendt was born March 14, 1918 in Merrill, son of Fred and Alma Wendt. He was married Nov 16, 1946, in Merrill to Viola Schulz who survives. He was employed at Wisconsin Window Unit Co. and was an usher at Trinity Church.
Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Delores Knauf, 1209 1/2 Jackson St., Merrill; two brothers, Elroy, 719 Chicago Ave., Wausau, and Clarence, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Hanneman Edgar, and Mrs. L C McNeal, Panama City Fla.; and two grandchildren.
