This was my father and I am the youngest of his children. He was 47 almost 48 when I was born. I got to spend more years with him than I did my mother because he lived 26 years longer than she did. I put a bouquet of flowers for him because he always brought my mother the first blooming flowers in spring from the old homesteads on our farm in Fernvale, Tennessee. Everyone loved my father he was very giving and caring and could do anything he set out to do at any age. The big barn he built on our farm 100 years ago, when he was 13 years old, is still standing in good condition. The house he completed when he was 16 was one of the biggest houses on the road in 1918. It is still there but needs repairs from being near the creek so long.
