A. Bedient Jr., Well Known Area Misician, Dies
Andrew Bedient Jr., 23, of Wardell St., died Sunday in Buffalo following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Corning Jan. 4, 1946, to Andrew and Joanna Hackett Bedient of 251vState St. Mr. Bedient, a musician, at one time played with the former Glenway Trio. At the time he was taken ill he played in the Pour House Band in Elmira. He was a member of Musicians Local 314. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Corning Aerie of Eagles. He attended the First United Methodist Church here.

His wife is the former Winifred Atwell. They were married in Corning on Nov. 28, 1964 by the Rev. Thomas M. Steen. He attended Corning schools.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Kelly, and a son Andrew L., both at home; one sister, Mrs. Gerald Raker of Corning; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Weatherbee of Beaver Dams and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Bedient of Corning; several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the A. W. Bielby and Son Funeral Home Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 until 9.

The funeral will be held there on Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Steen officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
