William Howard Hough , 80, of Manlius died Sunday. Born in Eddyville, Neb., he graduated from Sumner High School, Sumner, Neb. He attended the University of Southern California and graduated from Syracuse University. He retired in 1986 as an administrator in the Office of Sponsored Programs at Syracuse University after 26 years. He also worked at Gulf Oil in Syracuse . He was a member of University United Methodist Church and the Navy Seabee Veterans of America. He served with the Seabees during World War II.

Survivors: His wife of 53 years, the former Nancy Laing; two daughters, Sandra L. Hough of Hampton, Va., and Marcia S. Hough of Jamesville; a sister, Marjorie Meister of Fullerton, Calif.; two brothers, A. Dean of Lancaster, Pa., and N. Dale of Eddyville; two grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in University United Methodist Church. Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens.
