Epaphroditus W. Knapp died in Earlville Sept. 5th. He was born in Georgetown, Nov. 23,1820. He was a namesake of Georgetown's grand old man and pioneer physician, Epaphroditus Whitmore. He resided in Georgetown many years and was a worthy man and respected citizen. He was a veteran of the Mexican and Civil wars. He and his wife had been married nearly 60 years. He leaves five children. Madison County Leader, Sept. 24, 1908
