He was the son of Amos Franklin and Mary Crumb Beach. He married Celia Smith Plumb in 1878.
He lived in Poolville until the death of Mrs. Beach in 1933 and since made his home with his son, Clayton A. Beach.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Pinckney, Rochester; another son, Rev. Maynard P. Beach
