Rodney S. Petty, 47, of Greenwood, Arkansas died Saturday, January 10, 2009 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a maintenance worker for Sparks Regional Medical Center, a member of the Jenny Lind Baptist Church, a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge #125 and a assistant leader for Boys Scouts of America Lodge #131.
He is survived by his wife, Jana Petty; three daughters, Jessica Cowan, Erin Padilla and Stephanie Whisenhunt all of Greenwood; three sons, Christopher Petty of Hartford, Kyle Petty of Fort Smith and Joshua Petty of Greenwood; his mother and step-father, Marilyn and Mainard Sparks of Greenwood; three sisters, Robin Adams of Spiro, Roxie Petty of Lakewood, CO and Rhonda Rylatt of Hammond, LA; two brothers, Randy Petty of Odessa, MO and Rusty Petty of Spiro; and eight grandchildren.
