WABASHA VISITOR STRICKEN THURSDAY; Mrs. Hattie Caster of Dakota Dies Very Suddenly

Mrs. Hattie Caster, 66 years old, of Dakota, Minnesota, died suddenly at the home of her half -sister, Mr. J. R. Brown, Thursday morning, April 14, following an attack of meningitis.
Mrs. Caster has been visiting here for about six weeks, helping to care for Mrs. Brown who is ill. She had been a resident of Dakota nearly all her life.
She was twice married, first to Boyd Tebay, who was killed in a railroad accident October 9, 1886, and later to James H. Caster, who died on Thanksgiving Day in 1928. Since Mr. Caster's death, she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Dennis Wilkinson of Dakota, where the body was taken on Friday.
Mrs. Caster is survived by one son, Edward Tebay, who resides on a farm near Dakota, one brother, George Purdy of Winona, a half-brother, Joseph Robilard of La Crosse, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Wilkinson. She also leaves three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Dakota with the Rev. Paul Ludden officiating. The Eastern Star members of Dakota attended the last rites in a body. Interment was in the Dakota cemetery.
Those from out-of-town who were present at the funeral were J. R. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pfeilsticker, Jr. of Wabasha, Mr. and Mrs. George Brown of Minneapolis, and George Purdy of Winona.
The many friends here of Mrs. Brown sympathize deeply with the loss of her sister.
