DENVER -- Russell Thompson Hager, 93, of 6664 Campground Road, died Sept. 21, 2002. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Denver United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, he worked with Union Carbide until retirement.

Survivors include one son, Charles R. Hager of New London; three daughters, Jacquelyn Price of Mt. Holly, Ann Cloninger of Denver, and Emily Murr of Ft. Mill, S.C.; two step-daughters, Jane Thomas of Green Mountain, and Sue Sherrill of Denver; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Denver Community Cemetery, P.O. Box 661, Denver, N.C. 28037.

Warlick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
