Phyllis J. Prescott, 76, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Bay Medical Center in Bay City. She was born in Ithaca Jan. 28, 1935 to Calvin and Nellie (Wheeler) Bish. She married David Prescott June 16, 1956 in Ithaca. He preceded her in death in 2010.
She was employed as a Teacher for Imlay City School District in Lapeer County, Michigan. She had lived in Gladwin County for the last 15 years, previously residing in Imlay City, and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Gladwin.

She is survived by her children, Valarie (Jim) Boeve of Midland, Bradley Prescott of Hastings, Cindi (Randy ) Clark of Gladwin, Lisa Dively of Gaylord, and Lori (Mark) Goulder of Coleman; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Reva, Alice and Arloha; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, David; parents; 3 sisters, Bertha, Ruth and Wilma; and 3 brothers, Orville, Earl and Marvin.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, Gladwin, with Pastor John Shoaf officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hamilton Township Cemetery, Clare County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Skeels Christian School.
