Mrs. Walter A Steckling, 74, Merrill Route 5, in the Town of Maine, died Monday at 7:15 pm, in the Holy Cross Hospital, Merrill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Maine. The Rev Gerald Herman will officiate, and burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Town of Maine. Friends may call at Schram Funeral Home, Merrill, from 3 pm Wednesday until 10 am Thursday; and at the church after 11 am Thursday.
The former Erna O Schulz was born Aug. 6, 1896 daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schulz in the Town of Scott. She was married on June 20, 1914, in the Town of Scott, to Walter A Steckling, who survives. Mrs. Steckling was a past president of the Ladies Aid at Zion Church.
Survivors, besides her husband, include two daughters, Mrs. Roland Weiss, Merrill Route 5, and Mrs. Marion Page, Thomaston, Ga.; two sons, Arlin, Marathon Route 2, and Leslie,Merrill Route 5; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Krueger, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Hilda Miller, Sturgeon Bay; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
