Obituary from the Ogden Standard Examiner

Shane Joseph Adams

FARR WEST - After a heroic fight that lasted for more than 25 years, our beloved son, brother, and uncle, Shane Joseph Adams, passed away surrounded by his loving family in the early hours of the morning on April 23, 2012 in Farr West. He was born on February 11, 1976 in Ogden, Utah, to Joseph and Diana Kennedy Adams. Farr West has been his home for most of his life.

Shane began his long struggle with health issues while he was still in elementary school. In spite of his many challenges, he continued to be courageous and valiant and kept a positive, cheerful attitude. He found his strength in the Lord. He was a member of the Farr West First Ward.

Shane was a graduate of Weber High School. Following graduation, he worked for Northern Utah Glass and later was an excellent locksmith for A-1 Key.

He is survived by his parents of Farr West, his brother Corey (Dani) Boren of Tremonton, his sister Becky Shryock of Roy, his grandparents, Joseph Victor and Mae Adams of Taylor, and the following much-loved nieces and nephews: Brodee (Bri) Boren, Hadlee, Haylee, Kylee, and Wylee Boren, Traecer Rhead, and Lexi and Kanyan Lilly Knight. Mollie, his Boston Terrier, and Buddie, his Dashhound, will miss their cherished companion.

While we are mourning the loss of our son, his maternal grandparents, Loran and Joyce Kennedy and a special nephew, Kolbee Shane Boren, are rejoicing as they meet him beyond the veil.

The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the many kindnesses shown to Shane during his long drawn-out illness. A special thanks to Drs. Harry Senekjian, Cindy Dodenbier, David Allen, and Glen and Spencer Wade for their love and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Farr West Poplar Stake Center, 1745 North 2300 West in Farr West. Family and friends may gather Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. in Roy and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to the service.
