He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Allen; two brothers, Gene and Herbert Jones; and son, Hershel Jones Jr.
He leaves behind three sons, Johnny Jones, Paul Jones and Jason Jones, all of Jonesboro; five daughters, Candy Djonai of Michigan, and Shelia Green, Julie Williams, Melissa Carter and Shelly Jones, all of Jonesboro; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Allen and Sonny Allen, both of Jonesboro; and a sister, Mary McMorris.
