Eugene Corbett Lindsey was the son of Ethelinda Jane Hagan and Alonzo Lindsey.
Brother to Edward Allen Lindsey (1871), Daniel Alonzo Lindsey (1873-1963), Etha May "Maisie" Lindsey (1876), William Henry Lindsey (1879), and Elizabeth Bailey Lindsey (1886).
Eugene was a 1898 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in medicine.
Dr. Lindsey served as intern in the Eve Clinic in Nashville before moving to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He practiced medicine in Lawrenceburg and Mooresville, Alabama before starting a practice in Florence, Alabama in 1901.
Eugene married Emily Collier White on December 17, 1901 at Belle Mina Planation in Limestone County, Alabama.
To this union a son was born, William Carl Lindsey on January 2, 1903.
Dr. Lindsey was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Zamora Temple in Birmingham, Alabama and a member of the Baptist Church.
His funeral was held in Florence with Rev. Charles J. Alleyn of Grace Episcopal Church of Sheffield officiating.
