Roy W. Bell, 74, of Star Route, Campbellsville, son of the late Thomas Jefferson Bell and Katie Ella Underwood Bell, died at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 1985, as a result of an accident on his farm. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was retired school teacher, having taught in the Taylor County School System some 38 years before his retirement in 1971. He was a retired farmer. He united in marriage to Mae Bennett, December 26, 1931. To this union two daughters and one son were born; Roy Bell Jr. , of Sandwich, Illinios; Dorothy Wright of Campbellsville; Jane Underwood of Buffalo, Route 1. Besides his wife, Mae Bell of Campbellsville, Star Route, and children, he is survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother Harry Bell of Castillian Springs , Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held at 2p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Walter Lay, the Rev. Ancil Durrett, and the Rev. John Batcher. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bill Milby , Roger Lee Beams , Thurman Hedgespeth Denny Hedgespeth, Foster Sprowles, Henry W. Pierce
