Relatives here have received word of the death of Lloyd T. Kingen, 58, in the Memorial hospital at Vancouver, Washington on June 30, three weeks after suffering a stroke of apoplexy.
He was born in Iowa and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Kingen. For the past 35 years he lived in Vancouver, where he was a retired postal clerk in the post office. He had been supervisor of the Bagley Downs branch for two years; was an elder of the First Christian church and a member of the Vancouver Camp of Gideons.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ardis Strebe of Maryland; two sons, Chaplain Winfred L. with the A.A.F. in Germany and Donald W. of Vancouver, his mother, Mrs. Ida Beall Kingen of Vancouver and three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Edwards of Illwaco, Washington, Mrs. Merle
Streets of Felida and Mrs. Opal Custard of Vancouver.
Mr. Kingen was a nephew of Charles Beall of Sigourney, Mrs. Walter Ellis and Mrs. Elva Jacobs of Delta and Mrs. Viola Dawson of What Cheer.
The funeral service was held after the arrival of his son, Winfred who came from Germany by plane.
