Tanya S. Dean, 62, a native Texan and registered nurse, died Saturday, April 28, 2012. Funeral: Requiem Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Orthodox Church, 7601 Bellaire Drive South. Vespers for the Dead: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church with visitation beginning at 5:30 p.m. Interment: Noon on Thursday in Bethel Cemetery, Funston (near Anson). Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tanya S. Dean Memorial Fund at St. Peter's Orthodox Church, 7601 Bellaire Drive South, Fort Worth, Texas 76132. Tanya was born on Good Friday, April 7, 1950, in Lubbock. At the age of 4, her family moved to Fort Worth where she has resided the rest of her life. After a successful 20-year career in advertising, Tanya went back to school and received her degree from Tarrant County College and Texas Christian University to become an RN and a CGRN. She was a member of Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges 1994, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society (TCU) 1983; Greater Fort Worth Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates; the Education Seminar Program Committee, Educational Scholarship Merit Program, Bridge Association Youth Shelter and was co-founder and co-chair of St. Peter's Annual Golf Tournament since 1996. She also sang in the church choir most of her adult life.

Survivors: Brother, sister, nephews; nieces; great- nephews; great-nieces; her church family; and many cousins and dear friends.
