For Walter O'Neal
Walter O'Neal, 83, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Claude Carter, at Elmo Sunday afternoon from a heart attack and complications. He had been in poor health for some time previous to his death.
He was a son of the !ate Charles and Ann O'Neal, and was born in the Longview community. Mr. O'Neal; spent his life in this community, operating a farm until his health prevented, and was a life long member of the Salem Baptist Church.
The survivors are the niece, Mrs. Carter, two nephews, Charles O'Neal of the county, and Lawrence O'Neal of Seaford, Del.
The last rites were conducted this afternoon at the home of his niece by the Rev. Reed Rushing, his pastor, and burial was at the O'Neal Cemetery.
