Mrs. Toepp Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Erma L. Toepp, 76, died Saturday in the Rome Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Toepp was born in Oriskany Dec. 26, 1889, daughter of William W. and Sarah Eckel Walker. She attended school in Oriskany. She was married to Henry Albert Toepp of Rome on May 24, 1911. The ceremony was performed in Oriskany by the Rev. H. C. Nation. Mrs. Toepp was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, a member and past noble grand of the Queen Esther Rebekah Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and a member of the Past Noble Grands Club. She was also a member and a past ayashai of El Ayah Zuanna Lodge, 100F, and a member of the Skillin Relief Corps. Surviving beside her husband are two daughters and a son, Mrs. Kemp (Dorothy) Harrington, Mrs. Joseph (Norma) Bramble and Paul H. Toepp, all of Rome; six grandchildren, Brian P. Harrington, Bruce D. Harrington, Shelly-Jo Bramble, Kimberly Bramble. Janice Toepp and Judith A. Toepp; a sister Mrs Marsha Boyd, New Woodstock and a brother James L. Walker, Winter Park, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at the Prince & Boyd Home for Funerals on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will Crown Hill Memorial Gardens. Rome Daily Sentinel, Monday Evening, September 12, 1966
